Like many people my age, Pokémon was a huge part of my childhood. It was the first time I saw a video game truly break into mainstream culture. It wasn’t just the games themselves – Pokémon was everywhere, from trading cards and the TV show to movies and plush toys. It was impossible to avoid!
If you grew up loving the original Pokémon anime like I did, you probably know the Poké Rap by heart and spent a lot of time trying to guess Pokémon silhouettes. And, not to sound arrogant, but I was usually right when playing “Who’s that Pokémon?” It wasn’t a huge accomplishment, but still!
We all forget things as we age, making space for new, more grown-up knowledge – things like taxes, brewing coffee, and tying ties. But I like to believe I still remember all 151 of the original Pokémon! It’s time to find out if that’s true.
