As a seasoned Call of Duty veteran with over a decade of gaming under my belt, I must say that the Season 1 update for Warzone has me absolutely thrilled! The integration of Black Ops 6 is long overdue and the new movement system, weapon pool, and features have breathed new life into this battle royale game.
In Warzone, the first season update for Call of Duty is now active, featuring a complete merge with Black Ops 6. This includes the new locomotion scheme, an expanded arsenal of weapons, and extra features. The update also resets player ranks due to Black Ops 6 implementing Call of Duty’s traditional Prestige system in Warzone.
For the very first time, the well-known Prestige system will debut in Warzone. Consequently, this change will erase all previous progress and reset every player’s rank as we enter the first season. Below you’ll find essential information about the season reset for Warzone.

How player levels works in Warzone Season 1
In Season 1 of both Black Ops 6 and Warzone, your progress is shared. This means that the level you’ve reached in Warzone will be equivalent to your current rank in Black Ops 6. For instance, if you’re already Prestige 1 level 55 in Black Ops 6, that’s the level you’ll start at when you log into Warzone.
If you’re new to Black Ops 6, you’ll begin at the first level with no prior experience. As you play and accumulate XP, your rank will progress from level 1 all the way up to the maximum level of 55. Once you reach level 55, you can choose to Prestige. This action resets your loadout items and returns you to level 1 again. This process is repeated as many times as you’d like, although it might seem repetitive for some battle-royale players. However, prestiging offers the opportunity to unlock unique rewards.

How weapon levels work for Warzone in Season 1
In Warzone, they’re incorporating Black Ops 6 firearms into their existing arsenal, which is already substantial and encompasses guns from past years. Despite a reset in your rank, the level of any weapons you’ve previously utilized will remain unchanged.
You’re free to select your preferred weapon from either Modern Warfare 2 or Modern Warfare 3, with all your attachments already unlocked, or alternatively, opt for one of the fresh weapons introduced in Black Ops 6 for your equipment setup.
Any weapon progression in Black Ops 6 multiplayer and Zombies will carry over to Warzone, but if you haven’t played the game yet, you’ll need to unlock those weapons at the required rank, and then level those weapons up to get attachments unlocked.
For the first time ever, Season 1 of Warzone also adds a unique Mastery camo grind for battle royale.
In Season 1, there are approximately 100 items up for grabs through the battle pass, including the brand-new Krig C assault rifle and Saug submachine gun. For a closer look at what else Season 1 has in store, check out these highlights.
