Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Players Are Eager for the Return of the Fan-Favorite Double-Tap Perk in Zombies

As a seasoned Call of Duty: Black Ops player with over a decade of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the Double Tap perk is as much a part of the Zombies mode’s DNA as the undead themselves. Its absence in Black Ops 6 has been like playing a symphony without its iconic melody – it just doesn’t feel right!

As a dedicated Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies gamer, I can’t help but marvel at the immense array of weapons, perks, Gobblegums, abilities, and other features this game offers. Yet, as someone who’s been along for the ride since the beginning, I find myself yearning for a comeback of the beloved classics in this new installment. Among these, one of the most sought-after returns is the iconic Double Tap perk that we old-timers hold dear.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Players Want The Double-Tap Root Beer Perk to Return to Zombies

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the introduction of Citadelle Des Morts promises fresh content for the Zombies mode, featuring new Ammo Mod, Field Upgrade, Perk-a-Cola, and Wonder Weapon. Yet, devoted fans are eagerly anticipating the return of a classic favorite – the Double Tap Root Beer perk, renowned for its significant impact in earlier versions of the game.

Initially, the feature called Double Tap boosted a weapon’s firing speed by one third, enhancing both the weapon’s speed and efficiency, particularly for bolt-action and pump-action weapons. The enhanced version, Double Tap 2.0, doubled the damage caused by each bullet, making it essential in later stages for increased firepower and quicker equipment usage.

Although there’s no confirmation yet about Double Tap reappearing in the game, some intriguing hints have been spotted by players. For instance, within the Mastercraft: Ideal Tracer Pack bundle, a shotgun blueprint sports a Juggernog can as its muzzle and has Double Tap referenced on the weapon’s forearm. Moreover, the Operator skin for Weaver showcases Perk-a-Cola vials, and while Double Tap isn’t one of them, the Perk’s logo is visible hanging from his keychain.
