I, as a passionate gamer, can hardly contain my excitement as I’m about to uncover the mysteries of the upcoming game that the creators behind legendary franchises like Destiny and Halo are developing. Marathon is set to spill its secrets at an exclusive gameplay showcase, and I simply can’t wait!
In 2023, a shooter game was officially unveiled as a revival of an old FPS series, though rumors had surfaced a year prior. Since then, Bungie has been somewhat secretive about their new project, neither revealing much nor disappearing entirely from the scene.
Despite this, things are about to shift. After a string of hints, the developers have confirmed the unveiling of Marathon gameplay – this event will happen on Saturday, April 12, during the “Marathon Gameplay Reveal Showcase” stream. The live broadcast begins at 10:00 am PT and can be viewed on the game’s official Twitch channel.

Among at least ten games and services from Sony’s collection, Marathon is one that endured the Concord disaster and two other titles. Numerous titles, including those backed by renowned brands, were reportedly meant to be quietly terminated. Remarkably, Bungie Studio’s latest project seems to have escaped this fate, contrary to pessimistic reports about the developer over the last two years.
The scheduled launch of the marathon is still unknown, however, it’s confirmed that it will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S (as per the details shared on the Bungie studio’s official website).
