In Monster Hunter Wilds, players may encounter several types of detrimental conditions, often causing harm or impairment. However, certain statuses, such as Bubbleblight, can be advantageous if players understand the proper response when struck by it.

In the game MH Wilds, Bubbleblight is a distinctive status affliction exclusive to the Mizutsune. Typically, players should aim to dodge this condition, but similar to the Frenzy effect, it can be exploited for strategic purposes. Here’s an explanation of its actions and recommendations if you are struck by it.

How Bubbleblight Works in MH Wilds

Bubbleblight is a severe affliction that significantly impairs hunters, causing them to stumble and lose their footing during evasive maneuvers. This makes their movements sluggish, leaving them vulnerable for additional harm. Moreover, those suffering from Bubbleblight will also sustain more damage when propelled away by potent assaults.

However, much like the aforementioned Frenzy status, Bubbleblight has two phases:

  • Getting hit by a Mizutsune bubble inflicts Minor Bubbleblight. In this state, players will benefit from increased dodging capabilities.
  • Getting hit by more Mizutsune bubbles while already afflicted with Minor Bubbleblight will turn that status into Major Bubbleblight, in which case players will experience the drawbacks stated above.

In other words, being struck by a Mizutsune bubble isn’t always detrimental in the first place. But when Minor Bubbleblight transforms into Major Bubbleblight, it can become quite tricky due to the reduction in your ability to dodge.

In a simplified manner, the Minor Bubbleblight is symbolized by an icon that consists of two bubbles. On the other hand, the Major Bubbleblight has the identical icon but includes three bubbles.

How to Cure Bubbleblight

In the game MH Wilds, Bubbleblight can be treated using a Cleanser. You might obtain some as extra supplies during a Mizutsune battle, but if not, you can concoct one by combining Godbug Essence and Fire Herbs. If you don’t have a Cleanser on hand, simply wait for 30 seconds for the affliction to clear up on its own.

Dealing with assaults capable of knocking you off your feet will eliminate Bubbleblight. But beware, these attacks will inflict severe pain. In combat against tempered monsters or more powerful ones, the impact may even force a retreat to the respawn point via a cart.

Mizutsune’s Prowess Set Bonus

The ability granted by donning two or four items from the Mizutsune armor set is referred to as Mizutsune’s Prowess. This feature offers a significant advantage: it entirely nullifies Major Bubbleblight, and if you already have Minor Bubbleblight, your evasive skills receive additional perks for increased agility.

In a way reminiscent to the Gore Magala set, it inflicts a minor status condition known as Bubbleblight on players. Notably, if players don the full Mizutsune armor and dodge three times consecutively, they will acquire this Minor Bubbleblight status.
