Brett Goldstein Sets First Stand-Up Comedy Special at HBO

Brett Goldstein has set his first stand-up comedy special at HBO.

Entitled “One of Your Best Nights Ever,” this program is set to premiere around April on HBO, and can also be streamed on Max.

The main actor from “Ted Lasso” and co-creator of “Shrinking”, known for his comedic skills, has had a history in stand-up comedy dating back to his first Edinburgh Festival Fringe show in 2010. However, none of his shows up until now have been officially released. The tour titled “The Second Best Night of Your Life” was his inaugural stand-up tour.

Goldstein expressed great enthusiasm as he announced that his first special will air not on television but on HBO!

Nina Rosenstein, HBO’s executive vice president for late-night and specials programming, expressed her delight in working with Brett, who is not only a talented writer and performer but also has a strong background in stand-up comedy. With his unique blend of sharp, dark wit and the air of a British gentleman mixed with mischief, he’s an ideal fit for his debut special.

Goldstein, a comedian, actor, writer, and producer, is primarily recognized for his role as Roy Kent in Apple TV’s heartwarming soccer comedy “Ted Lasso.” In collaboration with series creator Bill Lawrence, he co-created the drama-comedy series “Shrinking” along with Jason Segel. Upcoming projects include “All of You,” a film he both wrote and stars in alongside Imogen Poots. Currently, he’s also working on the romantic comedy “Office Romance,” where he appears alongside Jennifer Lopez. Additionally, Goldstein hosts the podcast “Films to Be Buried With.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that the movie titled “The Second Best Night of Your Life” is masterfully overseen by an esteemed team including Jeff Goldstein, Jeff Tomsic who also skillfully directs, the talented Matthew Vaughn, and Molly Mandel.
