Brendan Fraser is preparing to return to action in The Mummy 4, set to hit theaters on May 19, 2028. The film is a sequel to Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the last installment in The Mummy trilogy, released nearly 20 years prior. The movie will reunite the original cast, including Fraser as adventurer Rick O’Connell, Rachel Weisz as Egyptologist Evelyn O’Connell, and John Hannah as Evelyn’s brother, Jonathan Carnahan, with the goal of recapturing the fun and chemistry that made the first films so beloved.
After a nearly 20-year break from the role, Brendan Fraser is fully committed to preparing for The Mummy 4. He recently visited the Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood, exploring a simulated cursed Egyptian tomb with the film’s directors, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett – known as Radio Silence, the team behind the successful revival of the Scream movies. Universal Pictures shared a photo of the visit, captioning it, “Getting back into character!” and explaining that Fraser was preparing to reprise his role as Rick O’Connell.
