Brandon Buckingham fears he’ll die from organ failure as MrBeast & more raise over $300K

YouTuber Brandon Buckingham is seriously ill with multiple organ failures and has been hospitalized. He’s expressed fear for his life, but a fundraising campaign to help cover his medical expenses, boosted by MrBeast and thousands of supporters, has already exceeded $300,000.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share an update on Brandon. He’s a creator I really enjoy – you probably know him from his documentary-style videos and those awesome street interviews. Sadly, he’s been going through a really tough time with his health for months. He recently let us know he was admitted to the ICU, and things are super serious. Apparently, his heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys are all in really bad shape, and the doctors are working hard to try and get him stable. It’s definitely scary, and I’m hoping he pulls through.

He revealed he came very close to death during treatment, explaining that doctors were dealing with a complex combination of health problems. Initially, they thought he might have tuberculosis in addition to pneumonia and sepsis, but later determined that wasn’t the case. Although some of his infections were getting better, his heart and other organs were still in critical condition.

I’m going through a really difficult time and could really use your support. I rarely ask for help, but I’m facing a crisis and have started a GoFundMe to help my family get through this. I’m so grateful for all the kind messages I’ve received – thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Brandon Buckingham breaks down amid heart failure: “I just want to not be dead”

Brandon told People magazine he’s deeply worried about what the future holds and needs to see improvement in his heart before he can leave the intensive care unit. He became emotional when talking about his 11-month-old daughter, sharing his fear of not living long enough to return home.

Sobbing, he confessed his fear of dying. He was terrified of the future and desperately wanted to live, especially for his 11-month-old daughter.

To help cover medical bills and everyday expenses while he recovers, Brandon started a GoFundMe. The fundraiser was incredibly successful, exceeding its initial $75,000 target and reaching over $307,000 as of today.

MrBeast donated $10,000, explaining that people in the hospital shouldn’t have to stress about bills when they’re at their worst. Several other creators, like JiDion, Tommy G, and Mams Taylor, each gave at least $1,000, and there’s a possibility Korn’s Jonathan Davis also contributed. So far, over 9,000 people have supported the effort.

Brandon Buckingham shares major health update after raising over $300K

Brandon shared with People that he’s been deeply moved by the incredible support he’s received, calling it ‘humbling’ and saying it’s given him much-needed hope during a very difficult time.

I just saw a new update on his GoFundMe, and it’s cautiously optimistic! His liver and kidney numbers are actually getting better, which is amazing, and the scans are showing some early positive changes in his lungs. The biggest concern is still his heart – it’s still unstable, so he’s staying in the ICU while the doctors try different medications to get it working right. Fingers crossed it keeps improving!

I’m incredibly touched by all the support I’ve received – it means the world to me. I’m happy to share that my liver and kidneys are getting better, and my lungs seem to be improving too. However, I’m still struggling with heart failure, despite these positive developments.

He finished the update by saying he’s grateful for everything, even with everything going on, and won’t post another update until he has good news about his heart.

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. I love you all.”
