The latest update for Borderlands 4 is now available, and with it come refreshed in-game events. Players who want a truly unique weapon can now try to find a special Legendary SMG that shoots out a swarm of bees – perfect for unleashing some chaotic fun!
This patch includes fixes for a couple of character abilities. The Dragon’s Breath ability for Forgeknights and the First Impression ability for Exo-Soldiers were too strong, because they were increasing the total damage of attacks instead of damage per shot. This has been corrected so the bonus damage now applies to each individual projectile. Additionally, the odds of finding a Phosphene version of the Complex Root legendary sniper rifle have been adjusted.
A new, tougher weekly boss has been added! Like past challenges, this boss has more health but offers better rewards. Plus, the weekly “Mob Rules” mission lets you specifically farm for Birt’s Bees, a rare SMG normally dropped by the Sludgemaw boss in Watershed Gate.
This weapon shoots a swarm of bees that automatically track and attack enemies. With the right upgrades, it can quickly eliminate large groups of enemies, leaving them shouting in pain – “Not the bees!”
Maurice’s Black Market vending machine has moved! Like Xur in Destiny 2, Maurice sells two unique legendary items each week – the specific items vary for every player. If you’re looking for gear that works well together, you can use Borderlands 4 Shift codes to get some Golden Keys and try your luck opening the golden treasure chests.
The recent update to Borderlands 4 temporarily reintroduced the popular “Crit Knife,” restoring much of its former power after it was weakened a few weeks ago. Additionally, a version of Borderlands 4 is being developed for the Nintendo Switch 2.
