Borderlands 4 Announced. Gearbox Will Try to Wash away the Stain After the Brand’s Disastrous Debut in Theaters

As a seasoned Borderlands fanatic with over a decade of looting, shooting, and laughing under my belt, the announcement of Borderlands 4 has sent my heart racing faster than a Hyperion mech on steroids! The memories I’ve made with my trusty Vault Hunter crews, the countless hours spent deciphering obscure Easter eggs, and the sheer joy of discovering that perfect gun – it’s all coming back to me now.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve heard my fair share of whispers, but finally, it’s official! Gearbox Software has taken us all by surprise, announcing the long-awaited next chapter in the beloved shooter series during the gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live show – none other than Borderlands 4. And to top it off, they’ve even dropped the first trailer for the game, which you can check out below!

In the past, instalments from this series have been highly recognized for their significant impact on the looter shooter genre, thanks to their abundant action and distinctive wit. The upcoming main game will continue this tradition by offering even more of what its predecessors are celebrated for, ensuring that fans feel comfortably familiar.

2025 can’t come soon enough, because I’m super hyped that Borderlands 4 is rolling out on Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S! Can’t wait to get my hands on it and dive back into the vibrant, chaotic world of Pandora.
