2025 sees BNB Chain planning an upgrade with a focus on boosting transaction speeds, improving the overall user interface, and fine-tuning development resources.

Additionally, the blockchain system is looking into incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) throughout different elements within its system.

Faster Transactions and Gasless Payments

In a February 11th post on Reddit, Changpeng Zhao – co-founder and ex-CEO of Binance – revealed their upcoming plans, which include reducing block confirmation times, eliminating the need for transaction fees (gas), and integrating advanced artificial intelligence technologies.

Based on a linked article, the 2025 update is designed to cut down on transaction delay by decreasing block durations to less than one second, all while preserving high transaction volume capacity. This enhancement would allow the network to handle as many as 100 million transactions per day.

On BNB Chain, the gasless transaction functionality is set to broaden its scope. The capability that Megafuel introduced for stablecoin transactions in 2024 is being expanded to encompass all types of transactions.

The revised system now enables users to cover transaction fees with stablecoins and other BEP-20 tokens. Moreover, it will be augmented by the forthcoming paymaster solutions based on EIP-7702, which are slated for launch on the network in the current year.

By November 2024, a staggering 35.5% of BNB Chain’s blocks had fallen victim to sandwich attacks. To tackle this issue, the blockchain has devised a strategy aimed at eradicating harmful Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) incidents on its system.

The strategy entails BSC validators collaborating to enhance synchronization, streamline voting, propagation, and minimize mempool risks.

AI Integration and Developer Tools

As Artificial Intelligence continues to influence the evolution of Web3, BNB Chain is making improvements within its system. Currently, more than 60 AI-driven initiatives are operational on this platform, spanning sectors such as decentralized finance, gaming, social media, and data systems.

The blockchain aims to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) technology into its intelligent wallets, enhancing features like improved key administration, grouped transactions, and complete gas coverage via paymasters. Built-in AI agents within the wallets will further assist users in handling their finances and comparing prices.

In 2024, developers were provided with a variety of network tools including tokenization services, platforms for launching meme coins, and cross-chain liquidity bridges. These tools will be further enhanced by improving software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs), as well as incorporating AI-assisted coding tools like the BNB Chain AI Code Copilot.
