‘Blue Bloods’ Spinoff ‘Boston Blue’ Casts Gloria Reuben

Gloria Reuben is now part of the expanding ensemble for “Boston Blue,” the upcoming “Blue Bloods” spin-off, which will debut on CBS this autumn.

Mae Silver, who takes on the role of Boston’s district attorney, is the character in question. This strong-willed woman is depicted as the head of a family filled with law enforcement personnel. Her daughter, Lena (Sonequa Martin-Green), is a detective for the Boston Police Department, while her stepdaughter, Sarah (Maggie Lawson), holds the position of police superintendent. Mae’s son, Jonah, is a new cop in the force. Known for her ability to make firm decisions and stand by them, Mae has faced adversity when her husband, a judge, was murdered on the courthouse steps.

Lately, she’s been seen in the Amazon Prime Video suspense series “The Better Sister.” Other notable roles include those in the films “My Dead Friend Zoe” (2025), “Reasonable Doubt” (2014) and “Lincoln” (2012), as well as TV shows such as “Elsbeth,” “City on a Hill” and “Mr. Robot.

The show titled ‘Boston Blue’ is jointly produced by CBS Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer Television.
