The first season of the Netflix series Bloodhounds, which premiered in 2023, features Woo Do-hwan as Kim Geon-woo, a talented boxer and former Marine, and Lee Sang-yi as Hong Woo-jin, a fellow Marine with a passion for fighting. Together, these two skilled and determined individuals fight for justice, taking on dangerous criminals who target those who can’t defend themselves. You can now watch the trailer for Season 2!
Season 2 of Bloodhounds is set to be even more intense, moving the action into the dangerous world of underground boxing. The new season introduces a formidable villain played by Jung Ji-hoon (known as Rain), who is as ruthless in the ring as he is driven by money. Along with a recently released trailer, details about the plot have also been revealed.
Now that Geon-woo has defeated the loan sharks, he’s fully focused on becoming a professional boxer, with Woo-jin supporting him as both his coach and a close friend. After intense training and many matches, Geon-woo finally wins, sharing the triumphant moment with Woo-jin as the crowd cheers. However, their celebration is cut short when a new danger appears, challenging their newfound confidence.
Baek-jeong, a powerful and merciless figure who runs an underground boxing league, easily defeats all challengers. Motivated solely by profit and a love of fighting, he targets Geon-woo as his next victim. As Baek-jeong’s threat looms, Geon-woo and Woo-jin prepare for a fierce battle, forced to fight once more to defend their values and protect those around them.
Season 2 of Bloodhounds, directed by Kim Joo-hwan and continuing the story from the popular webtoon by Jeong Chan, will be available on Netflix on April 3, 2026. The latest trailer promises even more intense action, starting with a gritty, underdog feel similar to Rocky and then escalating into the full-on fighting of Bloodsport. Once again, the main characters will be taking on a variety of enemies, using their fists and determination. Given the success of the first season – which received approval ratings of 89% from critics and 92% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes – the new season looks set to deliver the same high quality.
