Many fans consider Bloodborne to be one of the greatest video games ever made. Originally launched in 2015, it’s often called FromSoftware’s best work. However, because Sony still controls the game, it hasn’t been released on PC, and there’s no remastered or remade version available – it’s still only playable on PlayStation consoles.
Despite never officially releasing on PC, the Bloodborne community has created incredible unofficial ports and mods, and HardBorne is a prime example of this dedication and ingenuity.
Bloodborne: Hardborne Is The Ultimate Challenge
Okay, so I stumbled across this Bloodborne mod called Hardborne, and seriously, it’s incredible. It’s totally free and basically rebuilds the whole game. They’ve added a ton of stuff – new characters you meet, challenging bosses, quests to complete, and a whole bunch of new weapons and armor. If you’re a huge Bloodborne fan like me, you need to check this out. It’s made by a team of dedicated modders over on Nexus Mods – Xenobyte, Gazu, Colorsolid, Tlarok and others – and it’s clear they put a lot of work into it. The story picks up right after the end of the original game, so it feels like a natural continuation.
Okay, so there’s this new character, Nevel, and he’s really upped the ante on Laurence’s research. He’s unleashed an even worse plague on Yharnam! As a hunter, it’s up to me to figure out what happened and survive all the new, terrifying enemies and challenges he’s brought with him. It’s gonna be brutal!
If you’re eager to meet Laurence again, the Hardborne mod offers a new adventure filled with lingering mysteries from the main game. But be warned: it lives up to its name! The developers promise a truly difficult experience, saying players will die frequently. This mod is perfect for those who want an even greater challenge than the original game provided. Despite the difficulty, with 15 to 25 hours of fresh content, it’s likely worth the effort.
An Official Bloodborne Remake Is Unlikely
It’s becoming increasingly clear that an official remake or remaster of Bloodborne is unlikely, even though fans eagerly anticipate it with every Sony event. While FromSoftware is willing to revitalize the game, reports suggest Sony doesn’t currently see it happening. This means the popular title remains exclusive to PlayStation consoles – at least for the time being.
Mods like Hardborne are a big reason players can enjoy the game their way and access tons of new content they wouldn’t normally get. We really appreciate the work that goes into these modifications.
