‘Blind Owl’ Psychological Horror Starts Production with Armin Amiri & Katharine Isabelle

Armin Amiri and Katharine Isabelle will headline the cast for the upcoming psychological horror movie titled “Blind Owl.” Production on this film has already begun on Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Actress Isabelle, famed for her scream roles, has been featured in productions like “Hannibal” and “Ginger Snaps,” along with its two follow-ups, while Amiri, recognized from his appearances in “And Just Like That,” “Factory Girl,” and “The Wrestler,” additionally functions as an executive producer through his production company, Supernova8 Films.

In addition to their roles in “Mayor of Kingstown,” “Man of Steel,” and “Vampire Diaries,” actors Necar Zadegan, Mackenzie Grey, and Sara Canning are featured in a film based on Sadegh Hedayat’s 1937 novel “The Blind Owl,” which is a significant work in Persian literature and a key representation of Iranian modernism.

As his bond with his newlywed wife intensifies, the hidden wounds and unresolved trauma from leaving his Amish family for a contemporary lifestyle start to emerge, peeling back the intricate layers of his emotional turmoil.
