Bleecker Street Buys Survival Thriller ‘Bone Lake,’ Sets Fall Release Date

Bleecker Street acquired the rights for the U.S. distribution of “Bone Lake,” a humorous yet suspenseful survival tale directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan.

The movie that debuted at Fantastic Fest in 2024 is set to hit theaters on October 10th. Mister Smith, a UK-based distribution firm, is now handling the international distribution rights for this film, which they’ll be showcasing at the Cannes Film Festival.

Titled “Bone Lake,” this thriller centers around a duo who had planned a serene lakeside retreat, but their tranquil escape is shattered when they’re compelled to cohabit with another enigmatic pair. The idyllic vacation swiftly descends into a harrowing labyrinth of deception, lust, and manipulation, exposing hidden truths and inciting a brutal struggle for existence. As per the synopsis, the story unfolds with Marco Pigossi (“High Tide,” “Gen V”), Maddie Hasson (“Elevation,” “Twisted”), Alex Roe (“The 5th Wave,” “Hot Summer Nights”), and Andra Nechita (“Matlock”, “The Sex Lives of College Girls”) in the lead roles.

This movie is produced by Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon, Jacob Yakob for LD Entertainment, joined by Joshua Friedlander and Jason Blumenfeld. Mehrdod Heydari and Joseph Yakob from LD Entertainment, as well as Alex Roe, are the executive producers. The deal was arranged between Bleecker Street’s Avy Eschenasy and Miranda King, and Michael Glassman from LD Entertainment, along with UTA Independent Film Group, who represent the filmmakers.
