As a long-time Call of Duty enthusiast with countless hours spent in multiplayer battles, I must admit that Black Ops 6 has been a rollercoaster ride so far. The excitement of the new omnimovement and single-player campaign had me hooked, but the multiplayer experience has left me slightly disappointed.
Players of Black Ops 6 have criticized a seemingly unnecessary feature appearing in multiplayer matches, expressing confusion as to why it was carried over from past editions.
As October drew to a close and Black Ops 6 hit the shelves, it was met with a wave of acclaim from gamers. Fans of Call of Duty couldn’t get enough of the new omnimovement feature and were thrilled by the single-player campaign, particularly once they reached The Cradle section.
However, when it comes to multiplayer, there has been a different vibe. Sure, the omnimovement and classic prestige systems are welcomed, but the maps have been branded the “worst ever” for spawn trapping. Plus, you’ve also got the Recon specialty giving players soft wall hacks.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed a growing concern among us. Players are expressing their displeasure with the overly dramatic “cringeworthy” victory celebrations that occur post-match. It seems we’re yearning for a more casual and enjoyable gaming experience without these awkward moments taking away from our hard-earned victories.
One Reddit user commented, “It seemed like they truly believed they were playing with this,” and included a picture of the downvote symbol often used by players following a match.
One person found the “winner’s circle” in BO3 and BO6 to be quite cringy, and this was agreed upon by another. The first individual humorously mentioned that they tend to avert their gaze from the screen and pretend it doesn’t exist when someone uses it, while laughing. A third person chimed in, expressing that they find it completely without purpose.
They really thought they were cooking with this

Some participants admire the victorious loop yet yearn for an alteration. One idea proposed is that post-game emotes could consist of actions such as firing a weapon, removing a helmet, or simply walking away – which sounds quite intriguing.
As we gear up for Season 1, some exciting updates are on the horizon for multiplayer! We’ve already welcomed Nuketown back and there’s been a confirmation about toning down Recon. While I’m all about the Winner’s Circle, I can’t help but miss the good old days of emote spamming. However, with fresh emotes coming in, it opens up new opportunities!
