Black Ops 6 Nuketown Easter egg turns mannequins into zombies

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of Call of Duty under my belt, let me tell you, I’ve seen many iterations of Nuketown come and go. From Black Ops 1 to now, this map has always been a fan favorite for its fast-paced action and hidden secrets.

In Black Ops 6’s Nuketown map, even though there isn’t the conventional mannequin Easter egg found in other games, there remains a hidden technique that turns every mannequin into zombies instead.

Since the first release of Black Ops in 2010, Nuketown has been consistently recognized as one of Call of Duty’s most exceptional maps. This reputation is partly because of its compact layout and fast-paced games, but also due to the numerous hidden gems that are discovered with each new version.

Typically, you’d discover an Easter egg by shooting the heads off the mannequins scattered across the game map, which could either play the Rolling Stones song from the original game or launch a rocket in BO4. Despite not finding a mannequin Easter egg in BO6: Nuke Town, there are still hidden secrets waiting to be uncovered.

Reminiscent of Black Ops 3, when you engage in the game mode “Infected” on the map “Nuketown”, the mannequins will surprisingly become active and chase you like zombies. However, it’s important to note that Nuketown isn’t typically included in the Infected map rotation, so you’ll have to organize a private match to configure this setup instead.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go into a private match from the Black Ops 6 menu.
  2. Select ‘Game Setup.’
  3. Change the mode to Infected and the map to Nuketown.
  4. Go back to the main screen.
  5. Use the ‘+’ icons to add bots to the enemy team.
  6. Start the match.

In this scenario, the bots from the opposing team will behave like animated mannequins, surrounding you in a dense crowd. Echoing Call of Duty’s Zombies mode, they might drop Double Points tokens, but unlike in the game, these don’t provide additional XP since private matches do not impact your level.

Though it’s not as substantial as the traditional mannequin Easter egg in Black Ops 6’s Nuketown, this discovery does confirm that there are still hidden secrets waiting to be unveiled. Keep an eye out for additional secrets or new ones being added by the developers over the next few months.

In addition to the Black Ops 6 Season 1 update, you might find hidden Easter eggs on the freshly introduced maps as well.
