It was anticipated that large sales figures would be seen for Black Ops 6 before its release. The Black Ops franchise enjoys significant popularity, and the fact that it became available on Game Pass, a topic of frequent conversation, appears to have been beneficial for Microsoft in the initial phase.

Previously, Strauss Zelnick, head honcho at Take-Two, predicted that Call of Duty would temporarily boost Game Pass subscribers for Microsoft. Now, ol’ Zelnick is the boss of a third-party publisher, so his perspective might not align perfectly with Microsoft’s game plan.

According to analyst Michael Pachter, if Microsoft adds Black Ops 6 to their Game Pass service, they might lose up to six million in sales from players who would have purchased it otherwise. However, Pachter suggests that Microsoft could gain as many as four million new Game Pass subscribers due to the popularity of Black Ops 6.
