As a seasoned CoD gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, let me tell you, I’ve seen it all – from the original Black Ops to the latest Black Ops 6. The thrill of the double XP weekend and the arrival of Nuketown have always been the highlights of my CoD calendar. If Treyarch is indeed planning a double XP weekend to coincide with Nuketown, it would be a move that could potentially redefine the gaming landscape for this generation of players.
The developers of Black Ops 6 have heeded players’ requests for a double experience points (XP) weekend, aiming to infuse the game with an enhanced dose of nostalgic feel.
The launch of Black Ops 6 has garnered positive reviews from Call of Duty enthusiasts, particularly for its gameplay and single-player storyline. Many fans are thrilled, or should I say, they’ve flipped for the innovative omnimovement feature.
Although players have appreciated some aspects of the revamped prestige system and multiplayer features, a major concern lies in the map designs. These maps have faced significant criticism from gamers aiming to maintain the original Call of Duty atmosphere.
Additionally, numerous players are requesting a head start on a weekend with double experience points (XP). While it’s only been a week since the game launched and some players have advanced to the 10th prestige level, others are seeking assistance in making progress more quickly with their grinding process.
Instead of directly addressing the request for a double XP and double weapon XP weekend, Treyarch’s developers have chosen to reply with a “thinking face” emoji on Twitter. This response could be interpreted as them considering the idea but not yet making any firm commitments.
we could be getting a double xp weekend soon in Black Ops 6 🤞

For some time now, an early double experience points (XP) weekend has been a common feature in Call of Duty games. But what’s particularly exciting for Black Ops 6 enthusiasts is that this XP event might overlap with the release of Nuketown, potentially making it twice as thrilling!
1 Fan tweeted, “Let’s get double experience points and play Nuketown!” Another suggested, “It seems like the perfect time to release Nuketown this weekend.
Some enthusiasts are also eagerly anticipating the possibility of a continuous playlist for Nuketown, as this could help them progress through levels more rapidly. Historically, this has been a popular feature when Nuketown is introduced in a Treyarch game. Therefore, we’ll simply need to wait and find out if it will happen once more.
