As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours in the Call of Duty universe, I can wholeheartedly agree that Treyarch is on the right track with Black Ops 6. The current XP grind in multiplayer has been a source of frustration for many players, including myself.
In a user-friendly manner, I’d rephrase that statement as follows: “Call of Duty Black Ops 6 offers an effective solution to the tedious XP accumulation process in multiplayer mode, and this remedy doesn’t involve double XP events or additional tokens.
Every time a fresh Call of Duty edition hits the market, enthusiasts promptly dive into multiplayer modes, aiming to climb up the rankings either to become the earliest to achieve prestige or simply acquire the essential weapons for Warzone. Regardless of the motive, it requires a significant amount of playtime to begin seeing progress.
As a dedicated gamer this year, I’ve found myself shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow Black Ops 6 enthusiasts, and one thing we can’t help but discuss is the grind being too lengthy. The double XP weekend gave us a boost, and integrating tokens from past games certainly helped, but leveling up just a handful feels like a marathon – it’s even more daunting once you break through level 30.
Instead of only offering continuous double XP weekends or extra tokens, Treyarch actually has a more effective solution on hand for this issue.
In fact, it would be rewarding playing the objective a bit more.
Enhancing the experience points earned when playing specific game modes such as earning dog tags in Kill Confirmed, planting bombs in Search and Destroy, or occupying strategic locations like the hill in Hardpoint, would significantly facilitate the process of accumulating experience points.
Reward the focus on playing objectives
It is something players have complained about for years. Those who actually play the objective and lead games for their teams are coming out with the same XP gains as those who use the longer game modes to rack up more kills.
User miketwentyone proposed that more bonus experience points (XP) should be awarded to players who earn the highest objective scores in each team, following a round of Kill Confirmed. This incentive might motivate players to focus on winning rather than just accumulating camouflage and kills.
Another player added, “Rewards for kills are given excessively compared to achieving the objective.” Another suggested, “Perhaps we should boost the point values.
Several gamers are sharing their experiences of earning roughly 8,000 to 10,000 Experience Points (XP) per match, with at least 30 kills and a considerable amount of time spent on objectives, all without employing any Double XP bonuses.
Sick of people not playing objective. There needs to be a hefty bonus XP incentive for highest objective earning player.

XP needed for Pestige has actually decreased
It’s worth mentioning that despite players grumbling about the XP required for leveling up, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has in fact lowered the needed XP compared to earlier versions of the game.
Reflecting on Black Ops 4, I recall the grueling grind to earn a staggering 1,457,200 XP just to prestige. Fast forward to Black Ops 6, and that figure drops significantly to approximately 1.15 million XP. Yet, the lengthy stretch after level 30 may deter players from pursuing prestige more than once.
As a gamer, I’d boost the significance of collecting dog tags and planting bombs by doubling the points earned from dog tags and adding an extra 100 points to each bomb plant. This way, objectives would capture more attention and excitement among us players!
