is putting Mystique and Black Cat in the middle of this year’s Pride spotlight.
In a recent press announcement by Marvel Comics, fans will have an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming Marvel Voices special comic book for June’s Pride month titled “Marvel United: A Pride Special #1″. This forthcoming anthology volume will showcase narratives penned by some of the most prominent figures in the comics industry today. What’s even more exciting is that this issue will highlight stories centered around some of Marvel’s most legendary characters, including the shape-shifting mutant Mystique and the always fortunate Black Cat.

This year’s Pride-themed Marvel comic, penned by Wyatt Kennedy and artist Bayleigh Underwood, is poised to delve into a fresh instalment of Mystique and Destiny’s longtime romance. In this new storyline, Nightcrawler and the rest of their unconventional mutant kin are likely to feature prominently.
This tale, penned by Zoe Tunnell and illustrated by Federica Mancin, will feature Felicia Hardy, or the Black Cat as she’s more famously known, alongside an unexpected partner named Sera. The narrative unfolds during a chaotic heist scenario, where the Black Cat finds herself joining forces with Sera to confront one of the Marvel Universe’s least recognized yet potent threats.
As a fan myself, I’m thrilled to share that you can anticipate tales featuring none other than me! I’ll be partnering with the mutant hero Escapade to face off against the formidable Hate Monger in a story penned by the exceptional Al Ewing and beautifully illustrated by Kei Zama. The thrilling, star-studded adventure continues as Steve Rogers’ longtime friend Arnie Roth steps into the limelight, joining the original Captain America in a battle to safeguard the fate of our world, all set amidst the backdrop of World War II. This captivating story centered around Arnie will be written by Anthony Oliveira and brilliantly illustrated by Pablo Collar.
I can’t wait to dive into Oliveira and Collar’s work on the Avengers Academy Infinity Comic, as it’ll be available for the first time ever at comic book stores with the launch of Avengers Academy: Assemble #1! This exciting debut will gather the entire Infinity Comic run in one convenient place.
Marvel United: A Pride Special #1 goes on sale June 11 from Marvel Comics.
