Bix has been facing hardships ever since the beginning of Andor’s second season. During the initial three episodes, an Imperial officer attempted to assault her on Mina-Rau, and in the recent installments, she grapples with recurring nightmares about her encounter with Dr Gorst and resorts to medication to aid her sleep.

To ensure we don’t overlook it, let me remind you that she endured the initial season. When she chose not to disclose any information about the resistance to Dedra Meero, she sought the help of the wicked Dr Gorst – essentially, he subjected her to torture.

Upon our reunion with him, it transpires that Partagaz has informed us of the Empire’s intention to broaden Gorst’s enterprise. Fortunately, Bix and Cassian take action to prevent such an expansion from occurring.

Who is Dr Gorst?

Dr. Gorst, portrayed by Joshua James (known for his roles in Industry and Black Mirror), employs psychological methods of coercion to extract information from suspects, a role that leans more towards psychologically intensive interrogation.

According to the data in Star Wars, he is known as an “harsh Imperial interrogator” who employs his extensive understanding of both human behavior and physical characteristics to develop unique and terrifying ways for questioning suspects and extracting information from captives of the Empire.

Few details are available regarding how he ended up working for the Empire’s Imperial Security Bureau, yet it’s clear how he crafted his distinctive torture technique.

In essence, he told Bix during today’s discussion, what matters is that the slaughter of the Dizonites was transmitted and documented as evidence for their mission,” he clarified.

As they expire, there’s an unusual sound – a chorus of painful, desperate entreaties that no one has ever heard before.
