Well, folks, if you thought Bitcoin (BTC) was going to give us a thrilling ride, think again! The past 24 hours have been as exciting as watching paint dry, with BTC barely managing to jump to over $109,500 before it hit the brakes and came to a screeching halt. 🛑

Meanwhile, in the altcoin world, it’s a different story. Most of them are in the green, with ETH chilling at around $2,600 and XRP getting cozy near $2.3. But let’s not get too comfy, shall we? 🛋️

BTC Taps Multi-Day Peak, But Is It Just a Mirage? 🌵

The bitcoin landscape has been as exciting as a desert in July—hot, dry, and not much happening. Since the start of the month, BTC has been trading in a narrow range, bouncing between $105,000 and $108,000. But just when you thought it was going to break out and aim for the stars, it decided to take a nap. 😴

However, the bulls weren’t having it. They managed to defend the $105,000 level and even pushed BTC to a multi-week peak of about $110,500. It was like watching a tortoise win a sprint, but hey, a win is a win, right? 🐢

But just as we were getting excited, BTC decided to take a little dip back to $108,000. It didn’t do much over the weekend, but late Sunday evening, it finally woke up and started to pump. The culmination of this mini-rally was a multi-day peak of $109,600. But, of course, it faced another minor rejection and is now sitting just under $109,000. 🤷‍♂️

Its market cap has risen to $2.165 trillion, but its dominance over the alts has taken a hit and is now below 63%. Looks like the alts are getting a bit too cocky! 🥄

DOGE Pumps: The Underdog Strikes Back! 🐾

While the bigger alts are enjoying their modest gains, Dogecoin (DOGE) has stolen the show, surging by over 5% to over $0.17. It’s like the little dog that could, and it’s making all the other coins look like lazy cats. 🐱

Ethereum (ETH) has also had a nice day, jumping 2.6% to near $2,600. SOL is above $150 after a 3% surge, and HYPE is close to $40 after a similar increase. AAVE has jumped the most from the mid-cap alts and is now sitting at $286. 🚀

But not everyone is having a good day. TON is among the few exceptions, having dropped by nearly 6% on a 24-hour scale after the UAE denied previous Toncoin claims about a golden visa partnership. Ouch! 😬

The total crypto market cap has added over $40 billion in a day and is now up to $3.440 trillion. So, whether you’re a BTC bull or a DOGE enthusiast, it’s been a day of mixed emotions. 🤔
