Bill Nighy Joins Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham in Amazon Prime Video Action Series ‘Ride or Die’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Actor Bill Nighy, known for “Living,” is part of the ensemble cast for an upcoming action-adventure series on Prime Video. This series, titled “Ride or Die,” also features Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham in lead roles. The show’s creative team has grown with Matt Miller (“Lethal Weapon”) taking on the role of showrunner, and Peyton Reed (“Ant-Man”) being chosen to direct the first two episodes.

In the vein of Tessa Coates’ concept (“Feel Good”), the series “Ride or Die” consists of eight episodes. It features Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”) as Judith, who maintains an undercover existence as a skilled assassin. This double life is unknown to her best friend Debbie (portrayed by Spencer). However, when an operation goes awry, both Judith and Debbie find themselves on the run, trying to keep one step ahead of a shadowy adversary.

In the film “Ride or Die,” Bill Nighy will portray the character “The Director.” Additionally, Ed Skrein, known for his roles in “Deadpool” and “Rebel Moon,” has been cast as “Billy Donovan.” Sylvia Hoeks, who starred in “Blade Runner 2049” and “The Girl in the Spider’s Web,” will play “Ana.” Calam Lynch, recognized for his work in “Bridgerton” and “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” will take on the role of “Sam.” Jamie Parker, famous for his performance in “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” has been cast as “David.” Lastly, Savannah Steyn, who has been seen in “House of the Dragon,” will portray “Queenie” in the movie.

Bill Nighy, who was nominated for an Oscar, has recently been involved in projects such as Netflix’s “Joy,” “The First Omen,” and “The Beautiful Game.” In the near future, he will appear in the movie “&Sons,” which marks Pablo Trapero’s debut in English-language directing.

As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be witnessing Danial Skrein in the upcoming blockbuster, “Jurassic World Rebirth.” His recent cinematic journeys have taken him to the Rebel Moon films on Netflix and the limited Netflix series “All the Light We Cannot See.” On the other hand, Noomi Rapace is set to captivate us as Anna Nicole Smith in Francesca Gregorini’s “Hurricana,” also on Netflix, as well as Teona Strugar Mitevska’s “Mother” and the independent film “So Much for Love.” David Gyasi can currently be found in “Sweetpea” and has recently graced our screens in Season 2 of “Lord Of The Rings: The Rings of Power.” Jamie Parker, who won an Olivier Award for his portrayal of Harry Potter in the original West End production of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” is also part of this impressive cast. Lastly, I’m looking forward to seeing Paul Chahidi, whose credits include “House of the Dragon” and Phil Allocco’s feature film “5 LBs of Pressure.” It’s an exciting time for cinema with such a talented ensemble!
