Big Xbox Exclusive Could Be Delayed To 2025 - Report

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that I’m finding myself in a bit of a conundrum with Microsoft’s recent decision to delay Avowed until 2025. While I understand the need for strategic scheduling and giving other games their deserved spotlight, it feels like I’ve been asked to wait just a little longer for this highly anticipated title.

It appears that the release of Avowed, developed by Microsoft and Obsidian Entertainment, might be pushed back to the year 2025. Although an official launch date had not been disclosed, a leaked information from Microsoft hinted at a November 2024 rollout.

As a devoted fan, I’m sharing the news that Microsoft has decided to postpone the release of Avowed. This decision is attributed to Xbox Game Pass’s jam-packed schedule this fall. Despite Avowed reportedly being in excellent condition, it seems that Xbox is aiming to provide some space for other games to shine. Among these are Stalker 2, a console exclusive set to launch in November, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which drops in October. These reports have been supported by Windows Central, who also received similar information.

One of Xbox’s exclusive games, titled Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, doesn’t yet have a confirmed release date, but it’s rumored to come out in December this year. It remains unclear if Indiana Jones will make its appearance within the 2024 timeframe or be delayed until 2025 as well.

2021 saw some exclusive releases for Xbox, like Dungeons of Hinterberg and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. Yet, delaying Avowed to 2025 might weaken its 2024 lineup, given that the price hike for Game Pass is set to occur this year.
