CD Projekt Red has guaranteed continued assistance for Cyberpunk 2077, stating that they are working on at least one additional update for the beloved role-playing game.
Hey gamers! I just got some exciting news straight from CD Projekt Red’s latest RedStreams event. As a gamer like you, I can tell you that they’re frequently asked if they plan to roll out more DLC or updates for Cyberpunk 2077. Although we don’t know yet if there’ll be any new content in the pipeline, mark your calendars because a significant update, version 2.3, is coming our way at the end of June! Can’t wait to dive back into Night City with this one!
CD Projekt Red initially suggested that the 2.2 update for Cyberpunk 2077 would be the final major update, however, that is no longer accurate. As stated by Kozera, “The last one wasn’t the last one.”
CD Projekt’s Marcin Momot added, “We’re not done yet!”
The upcoming update version 2.3 is planned for release on June 26th, but specific details about its contents are currently unknown. However, Momot from CD Projekt Red has mentioned that they will reveal more information soon. For now, we ask for a little more patience as the team works on it. In essence, let’s give them space to finish cooking!
CD Projekt Red’s Pawel Sasko added, “We’ve been quietly working on something special for you. As always, I’ll be overseeing the updates myself, and we’ll share more details once it’s complete. Lots of love, choom!
Initially released in a somewhat unpolished form in December 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 still managed to sell an impressive 13.7 million copies within weeks of its launch, securing a place among the highest-selling role-playing games ever made. Over time, CD Projekt Red refined and enhanced the gameplay experience, reaching a significant milestone with the 2.0 update that essentially re-launched the game. The Phantom Liberty expansion featuring Idris Elba was released in September 2023, pushing the total sales of the game beyond 30 million copies.
Currently, CD Projekt Red is working on a follow-up titled “Cyberpunk 2,” but most of their team is engaged with “The Witcher 4” for now.
Just got my hands on the long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 for the rumored Nintendo Switch 2! Contrary to what many thought, running this game on Nintendo’s newest console was surprisingly smoother than expected, CD Projekt Red outdid themselves here.
