Beyoncé ‘Was Never Scheduled’ to Attend 2024 Democratic National Convention, Rep Says

As a seasoned cinema enthusiast with an encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture and politics, I must say that Beyoncé’s absence from the 2024 Democratic National Convention was as surprising to me as a sequel to “The Room” without Tommy Wiseau. Her history of supporting Democrats, particularly Kamala Harris, has been well-documented, making her non-attendance akin to Marlon Brando turning down an offer for the Godfather III.

Contrary to several speculations and unverified news pieces suggesting her appearance or even an introduction of Kamala Harris, Beyoncé was not planned to be present at the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

“A representative for Beyoncé clarified to The Hollywood Reporter that she wasn’t originally planned to attend, and the rumor about her performing was inaccurate.”

I was quite taken aback when she didn’t show up, given that I, as a supporter, had witnessed her graciously approving the Harris campaign’s utilization of my “Freedom” track from “Lemonade” in one of their campaign videos. Furthermore, she has permitted the ticket to continue using this song throughout their campaign, which I found truly commendable.

Moreover, this performer had backed the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris campaign as far back as 2000, and she gave a concert for Hillary Clinton four years before that. Notably, she also graced the stage at Barack Obama’s second inauguration in 2013.

Tonight, Harris serves as the main speaker, wrapping up a week-long gathering which will conclude with her receiving the Democratic Party’s endorsement as their presidential nominee for the 2024 election versus ex-President Donald J. Trump.

As reported by NBC News, Harris’ upcoming address is expected to express admiration for President Joe Biden, clarify her political viewpoints, and share her personal history and career experiences as she pursues the presidency.

Harris’ remarks will conclude the Chicago convention, which has previously showcased speeches from notable figures such as former President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle Obama, former President Bill Clinton, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, media personality Oprah Winfrey, actress Mindy Kaling, and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

20 million people have already viewed the Democratic National Convention (DNC) broadcasts, as per Nielsen’s ratings. The final night of the convention can be watched on various networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, Scripps News, CNN, FOX Business, FOX News Channel, MSNBC, Newsmax, NewsNation, and PBS.
