As a longtime player of Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), I’ve seen quite a few characters come and go, but none have caught my attention quite like S-Rank Electric Stun character Qingyi. Ever since her arrival in Version 1.1, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the chance to add her to my roster. If you’re like me and are either already a proud owner of Qingyi or are planning on getting her soon, then this guide is for you! In this post, we will delve into the best build for Qingyi in ZZZ, covering everything from her Disk Drives to her W-Engines and more. Let’s get started!
Qingyi can be obtained in ZZZ up until September 4, 2024. Don’t forget to grab her during the rate-up period, as otherwise, you’ll need to wait some time before she becomes available again.

It also boosts the damage my squad mates unleash, significantly enhancing our collective firepower. Simply put, it’s a game-changer that elevates my performance in the heat of battle.
2. Steam Oven (A-Rank)
As a devoted admirer of Qingyi, I’ve found the W-Engine to be an appealing substitute, significantly amplifying her Impact potential as her energy reserves grow. The catch is that once her energy depletes, the Impact bonus lingers for merely eight seconds before vanishing again. This W-Engine subtly encourages saving one’s Skill for the climactic instant.
3. Precious Fossilized Core (A-Rank)
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but sing praises for the W-Engine! It truly shines when it comes to taking down high to full HP enemies. Here’s the magic: Qingyi, my favorite character, has an extraordinary ability to impose additional Daze on enemies with higher health levels. However, there’s a catch – once an enemy drops below 50% of its original HP, Qingyi unfortunately loses her ability to inflict that extra Daze.
4. Six Shooter (A-Rank)
Unlike a Steam Oven that encourages Qingyi to conserve energy, this W-Engine motivates Qingyi to deploy her EX Special Attacks, as it amplifies the stun caused by these attacks. However, there’s a catch: the player must endure a 18-second wait for the W-Engine’s full potential to activate.
5. [Vortex] Arrow (B-Rank)
For Qingyi, this Freemium (F2P) setup includes the W-Engine, granting an extra effect of dazing her primary target. This speedy attack pace of hers makes it easier for her to exploit this daze advantage.

At Shockstar Disco, the standard disk drive for Stun characters, they gain an enhancement in Impact, plus extra Daze for their Basic Attacks, Dash Attacks, and Dodge Counters. Pair this with Swing Jazz to provide Qingyi with a 20% Energy Regeneration rate, enabling her to use her skill more frequently.
2. 4-Piece Shockstar Disco, 2-Piece Thunder Metal
Rather than enhancing Qingyi’s Energy Regeneration rate, players have the choice to boost her Electric Damage instead. The Thunder Metal increases Qingyi’s Electric Damage by 10%, a bonus that complements her swift attack speed, allowing for quick stacking of the damage boost.
3. 4-Piece Shockstar Disco, 2-Piece Puffer Electro
By providing Qingyi with extra PEN Ratio from Puffer Electro, she’ll be able to inflict greater damage since it reduces the enemy’s Defense.

After that, Zhu Yuan can swiftly inflict significant harm on the opposing character, chipping away at their health bar quite effectively, potentially even defeating them outright. On the other hand, Qingyi could function as a secondary damage dealer within the team, particularly against enemies weak to electric attacks.

It’s a breath of fresh air in a market that often feels more like a money grab than an enjoyable gaming experience.
Because Qingyi can utilize her Extra Skill when a team member has an Attack role, Billy is an excellent pick for a DPS character. This is particularly beneficial since the player also possesses Nicole, allowing them to activate their Extra Skills as well. This combination creates a balanced team that plays in a manner similar to the Premium team mentioned previously.
Players could opt to delay their gameplay until Phase 2 of ZZZ Version 1.1, giving them an opportunity to acquire the 4-star character Seth.
