With the latest release of NBA 2K25, I find myself once again captivated by the intricate details of crafting the perfect point guard.
In NBA 2K25’s MyPLAYER, we offer top-notch Point Guard Builds for customization. While there are pre-made templates based on real stars like Steph Curry, some players prefer to chart their unique paths. With this in mind, we’ve designed three robust builds tailored to excel in your MyCAREER.
What Are The Best Point Guard Builds To Use In NBA 2K25?

#1 – Three Point Badge King
- Height: 6’2″
- Weight: 198-200 lbs
- Wingspan: 6’3″
If you’re seeking a game setup that emphasizes long-range shots while providing you with numerous Legend Level Badges, here’s one for you! However, it does come at the cost of some agility (with a max of 94), but it boasts high ratings in various other areas. Your three-point, mid-range, pass accuracy, and several other attributes will all reach their maximum cap at 99.
In this construction, the primary areas you’ll compromise are defense and rebounding. Yet, it’s essential to note that your perimeter defense can still reach a maximum of 99, which is excellent given that you won’t spend much time indoors. If you’re a point guard, remember that you likely won’t be diving for rebounds as frequently as your center will. So don’t worry if your rebounding abilities appear lower.
Additionally, you’ll be capable of accumulating a total of 18 Legend Level badges, including five Hall of Fame (HOF) badges and two Gold ones. These badges, many of which enhance various skills beneficial for a Point Guard, will require some time and dedication to obtain, but the rewards make it all worthwhile.
Overall, this is our best build in general. As a point guard, you really want to focus on:
- Being an elite three-point shooter
- Having good pass accuracy, ball handle, and speed with the ball
However, we created three more builds for players who want to do something different.
#2 – Who Needs Defense?
- Height: 5’9″
- Weight: 185 lbs
- Wingspan: 6’1″
If you prioritize shooting, handling the ball, and passing over defensive plays or dunks, this build focuses on enhancing those aspects, granting you access to a total of 22 Legend Level Badges. However, it’s important to note that by focusing on offense, your defense, dunking abilities, and rebounding skills might be less developed. Yet, with the right investments, your shooting accuracy, ball handling pass precision, and speed while holding the ball could all potentially reach a maximum of 99.
With the extra weight, your speed decreases slightly to around 95, but you’re fast enough to execute quick maneuvers and leave opponents off balance. Do keep in mind that this build significantly weakens your interior defense capabilities. Yet, it offers a maximum potential of 99 for perimeter defense and steals.
Use this build with caution, as you focus solely on your strengths and potential badges.
#3 – Highlight Tape
- Height: 6’6″
- Weight: 198 lbs
- Wingspan: 6’11”
If you like slam dunking on opponents, this is the build for you.
As a gamer, I’ve got to say, this isn’t my preferred character setup. Going for the dunk doesn’t necessarily elevate your gameplay, and it takes away from some crucial attributes that I find more essential. But if you’re all about powering up the lane for those inside drives and finishing with a thunderous slam, then this build could be just what you’re looking for.
One great aspect of this construction is that it enhances your abilities as a rebounder and defender, which means when you miss a layup, there’s a higher possibility of retrieving the ball. Additionally, the 82 max interior defense is beneficial for online modes such as Streetball. Moreover, this badge grants access to 15 HOF level Badges, though it may not be the top build, it’s enjoyable to experiment with if you enjoy playing around.
In summary, here are some exceptional Point Guard build ideas for NBA 2K25 MyPLAYER. However, customize these builds to suit your preferences, as finding the perfect one is key.
