Best LW3A1 Frostline loadout in Black Ops 6: Class setup, attachments, perks, more

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt and countless hours spent honing my skills across various FPS titles, I can confidently say that the LW3A1 Frostline in Black Ops 6 is a real gem for those who enjoy picking off enemies from afar. While some may argue that the maps are smaller than previous entries, let’s face it – there’s always a perfect spot to set up shop and start racking up kills!

In Black Ops 6, the LW3A1 Frostline is the initial Sniper Rifle you acquire, yet don’t be fooled by its early appearance; when equipped with the right setup, it can truly unleash havoc.

Black Ops 6’s maps are relatively compact compared to previous games in the series. Yet, they offer numerous ideal locations for sniping. If you enjoy eliminating enemies from afar, the LW3A1 Frostline is a potent weapon that shouldn’t be underestimated.

Before diving into the battlefield, let me share the optimal setup for the LW3A1 Frostline. This includes the current top attachments and Perks. Enjoy!

Best LW3A1 Frostline Black Ops 6 loadout

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Laser: Target Laser
  • Stock: Combat Stock
  • Magazine: Fast Mag I
  • Stock Pad: Ranger Pad
  • Comb: Quickdraw Riser
  • Fire Mods: Rapid Fire

Our best LW3A1 Frostline loadout focuses on making it faster and snappier to use, but with the help of the Gunfighter Wildcard we can also use some extra attachments to ensure we don’t sacrifice its long-range power.

The Quickdraw Riser significantly slows down the time-to-fire of the ADS (Aim Down Sights), allowing for a swift shot in any situation, particularly on compact maps. Moreover, this speed advantage is enhanced by the Fast Mag I feature, and it also quickens the reloading process.

Subsequently, the Combat Stock and Ranger Pad enhance your total mobility speed, enabling you to swiftly dash across the map. In games where maps tend to be compact, you’ll often find yourself darting around rather than stationary sniping, making these accessories ideal for providing the agility you require.

However, some games require you to create a stable shooting spot for a sniper, allowing you to eliminate opponents more effectively. In such situations, the Long Barrel proves useful since it extends the reach of the Frostline’s damaging zone, maximizing its potency.

Ultimately, using both a Target Laser and Muzzle Brake effectively minimizes recoil and reduces the impact of flinching, enabling you to accurately fire subsequent shots, even if you’ve been struck initially.

Best LW3A1 Frostline class: Perks & Equipment

  • Perk 1: Ghost
  • Perk 2: Fast Hands
  • Perk 3: Double Time
  • Wildcard: Gunfighter
  • Lethal: Throwing Axe
  • Tactical Equipment: Smoke

The best loadout is nothing without Perks and Equipment, and I recommend starting with Ghost to keep you hidden from enemy UAVs. Then, Fast Hands lets you quickly switch to your sidearm if you run out of ammo and need to escape a tricky situation.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that the Frostline in Black Ops 6 is quite hefty compared to other firearms, but with the Double Time perk, your sprint speed and duration are significantly boosted, making it feel less cumbersome. To top it off, we’ve thrown in the Gunfighter Wildcard, allowing me to pack on three additional attachments as suggested earlier.

In terms of equipment, the Throwing Axe provides an opportunity for a swift kill if your aim is sharp, whereas Smoke offers protective cover should you decide to flee quickly.

Where is the LW3A1 Frostline in the Black Ops 6 meta?

Although the LW3A1 Frostline is a solid sniper in Black Ops 6, it’s arguably the worst in the category overall. While the SVD lacks the power of the Frostline, its semi-auto fire rate is much more forgiving, while also feeling much lighter to use.

Similarly, the LR 7.62, another bolt-action rifle, offers the same level of damage but with significantly less recoil. However, even though it’s a good starting point, it’s recommended to explore further and unlock the other two sniper rifles once they become available.

How to unlock LW3A1 Frostline

The LW3A1 Frostline is unlocked at Level 4 in Black Ops 6, at the same time you gain access to custom loadouts. This should only take a couple of games if you’re racking up plenty of kills and playing the objective.

Best LW3A1 Frostline alternative in Black Ops 6

If you find that the LW3A1 Frostline isn’t meeting your needs, then consider trying out the LR 7.62 instead. This weapon offers similar firepower, but with a significant advantage: it has less recoil, making it easier to handle and control during use.

With your optimal gear at hand, don’t forget to optimize your audio settings and control layout for the best chance of triumph in Black Ops 6.
