Benson Boone has spoken out following Mark Zuckerberg’s appearance at his spouse’s birthday celebration, where he donned a costume reminiscent of a popular singer.
On Priscilla Chan’s 40th birthday, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, planned a surprise reminiscent of the Grammy Awards 2025, channeling Benson Boone’s famous style. He replicated Boone’s captivating act by wearing an identical tight, shimmery baby-blue jumpsuit.
On February 28th, a video posted on Instagram showed Mark Zuckerberg walking onto the stage while dressed in a traditional tuxedo. The audience was surprised and excited when he suddenly removed his tuxedo to unveil a sparkling jumpsuit beneath it.
Later on, he leaped onto a piano and began to croon, causing the audience (which included Chan) to burst into laughter and clapping. Zuckerberg’s caption read, “Your wife only turns 40 once!”, acknowledging the singer-songwriter for his outfit in the post.

It’s uncertain which specific song Zuckerberg was singing in the viral video, but the tune seems more akin to ‘Beautiful Things,’ one of Boone’s popular hits from the Grammys, rather than his most recent single, ‘Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else.’

Previously featured on American Idol, the contestant showed equal surprise with the unsolicited homage from the tech pioneer. On Instagram Stories, he posted the video and expressed his astonishment in words, “I can hardly believe it! This is unreal.
Boone also voiced worry for Zuckerberg, saying, “I hope he’s comfortable. That suit of his looks really tight.” The comment was made in reference to the fitted attire Zuckerberg wore in the video, a nod to Boone’s own discomfort with a similarly form-fitting outfit during his performance at the 67th Grammy Awards on February 2.

During that moment, the pop star playfully commented on his wardrobe malfunction, sharing, “Apologies for readjusting my jumpsuit quite forcefully during the show tonight. It turned out to be overly constricting in some parts.
