Beetlejuice 2's New Trailer Reveals An Unlikely Partnership

As a longtime fan of Tim Burton’s quirky and imaginative films, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming sequel to one of his most beloved creations: Beetlejuice 2! It’s not every day that we get to see a sequel to a movie that came out over three decades ago. But when it comes to Tim Burton and the world of Beetlejuice, I guess they make their own rules.

Normally, sequels follow the original movie fairly soon, but Beetlejuice 2, also known as Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, goes against the norm with a 36-year gap. Director Tim Burton is once again teaming up with Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, who originally portrayed Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz. The latest trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice explains why Lydia felt the need to bring Beetlejuice back into her life after such a long time.

On Wednesdays, I’m excited for Jenna Ortega bringing her character, Astrid Deetz, to life as Lydia’s skeptical teenage daughter. She doesn’t buy into the supernatural or believe her mom, Lydia, can really communicate with the dead – a power that Lydia gained in the first film.

Certainly, Beetlejuice’s assistance doesn’t come for free. It seems that the quirky ghost from the previous film has gained some administrative authority in the afterlife. In the initial movie, Beetlejuice attempted to marry Lydia to ensure his departure from the supernatural realm. Based on the trailer’s depiction of a church scene, it appears that Beetlejuice may be considering this strategy once more, despite being married to Delores, portrayed by Monica Bellucci.

I’ve got some exciting news as a fellow gaming community member! Recently, I’ve been privy to some behind-the-scenes info – Ryder and Burton have been in talks about a potential Beetlejuice sequel for decades now. And get this – I managed to secure a clause in my Stranger Things contract that let me work on Beetlejuice 2, should the opportunity arise. Guess what? It did during a break between seasons! Isn’t it thrilling to be part of such an intriguing process?

Catherine O’Hara returns in her original character, Delia Deetz, for the upcoming movie. Joining her are Justin Theroux as Rory and Willem Dafoe portraying Wolf Jackson. The mischievous spirit Beetlejuice is set to entertain audiences once again on September 6.
