Jeffrey Allen, victor of MrBeast’s Beast Games, has embarked on a 365-mile trek through the desert as part of his “Ruck4Rare” initiative, aiming to discover a treatment for his son’s uncommon brain condition.
Jeffrey Allen, victor of Beast Games, entered MrBeast’s competition program in a single, heartfelt purpose: to aid the search for a treatment or cure for his 7-year-old son Lucas, who has been diagnosed with Creatine Transporter Deficiency (CTD).
A Condition Known as Creatine Transporter Deficiency (CTD) arises when the brain doesn’t receive adequate amounts of creatine, leading to developmental delays and regression. Due to its rarity, with approximately 100 reported cases worldwide, there’s limited knowledge on how to manage this condition, and even fewer resources allocated for finding a cure.
Luckily for Allen, he claimed MrBeast’s $10 million grand prize after outperforming popular competitor Twana in the final round of The Beast Games. True to his word, this new champion is now fulfilling his promise by embarking on a 365-mile journey across a California desert.
Through this endeavor, Allen aims to boost public understanding about Childhood Tumor Disorders (CTD) and other uncommon pediatric illnesses. The title of his initiative is “Ruck4Rare,” and it’s only the beginning for him.
Beast Games winner vows to walk “as long as it takes” to find a CTD cure
On his initial day in the desert, Allen covered a distance of 22 miles. He’s not venturing solo though; the victor of the Beast Games has Jeremy (ID #991) accompanying him on his journey.
Allen stated in his YouTube video that he’ll keep on walking for however long it requires. He’s prepared to cover whatever distance is necessary until we discover a cure.
On his initial journey, Allen shared the reasons behind his transition from one stage to another. He elaborated on the importance of fostering camaraderie among the competitors since, for the majority, their outcomes were dependent on their interactions with one another.
