Three well-known television networks – BBC, ZDF, and France Televisions – have signed up for “The Lady Grace Mysteries,” a teen detective series in English that’s inspired by the popular series of children’s books with the same title.

In my perspective as a movie enthusiast, let me share my thoughts on this captivating production that’s the brainchild of Cottonwood Media, known for “Find Me in Paris,” and Coolabi Productions. The script is masterfully crafted by Anna McCleery, a Daytime Emmy award nominee whose impressive portfolio includes Netflix’s “Free Rein,” CBBC/BYU’s “A Kind of Spark,” and Channel 4’s “Hollyoaks.” This woman sure knows how to weave a compelling tale!

The live-action television series, aimed at children aged 8 to 12, follows the adventures of Lady Grace Cavendish, a young female detective who serves as a private spy for Queen Elizabeth I. Set in an English court teeming with intrigue and danger, she must navigate the treacherous world of royal politics and unravel various plots, threats, and mysteries.

globally, Federation Kids & Family and ZDF Studios will be responsible for selling the series. The production of the show is entrusted to Manon Ardisson, who is in charge of fiction at Cottonwood Media, and Alexander Jacob, managing director for Cottonwood Media Ltd. He is also the lead director.

BBC’s Sarah Muller finds ‘The Lady Grace Mysteries’ to be remarkably fresh, allowing viewers an engaging journey through a captivating era of history, yet presented in a contemporary and distinctive manner with a compelling lead character,” she stated. “Moreover, the allure of solving mysteries combined with its one-of-a-kind setting promises to draw in a broader spectrum of audience members.

Nicole Keeb from ZDF stated that “The Lady Grace Mysteries” will be an exquisite costume drama, ideally suiting their collection of programs.

In a joint statement, David Michel, Cécile Laurenson, and Zoé Carrera Allaix from Cottonwood Media expressed that upon receiving the books from Coolabi, they immediately envisioned an exciting and dynamic television series.
