Battlefield 7 is taking shape. Leaks showing a new map and the moment when a helicopter was shot down look impressive

The current version of Battlefield is still experiencing leaks as a result of ongoing tests at the Battlefield Research Facility. During these tests, we’ve uncovered various details such as the impressive level of environmental devastation, a contentious system, and a feature reminiscent of BF4. This time around, we’ve been given a sneak peek into another new aspect.

New map and exploding helicopter

In the recently released test version of Battlefield 7, DICE incorporated a fresh map named “Capstone” into the game. Consequently, clips from this locale began surfacing swiftly across the internet; you’ll be able to locate them on Reddit.

The video, approximately over a minute long, showcases unadulterated gameplay set against a backdrop of towering snow-capped mountains. There’s an abundance of vehicles, military personnel in action, buildings being demolished, and even instances of hand-to-hand combat, including a knife fight. However, the part where the player brings down a helicopter with an RPG is particularly noteworthy.

This scene is quite striking, with a machine apparently losing balance, gaining momentum, and then shattering upon the rocks – an impressive spectacle indeed. What makes it even more captivating is the fact that Battlefield 7, despite being in its pre-alpha stage, can produce such sights. This implies there’s still plenty of room for improvement until its official launch. The general consensus among players appears to be positive satisfaction.

Jesus Christ, this looks incredible. Can’t wait for this.

I know it’s pre-alpha, but it looks very good.

This map is great. I love its vibe.

The upcoming “Battlefield” game hasn’t been given a specific release date as of now, but Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that it will be launched prior to April 1, 2026. We might get more details about it in June, during the Summer Game Fest.
