Battlefield 7 doesn’t stop leaking. New footage shows, among other things, environmental destruction

As a devoted fan, I’ve been thrilled to be part of the initial testing phase for “Battlefield Labs,” the precursor to Battlefield 7, the much-anticipated addition to the beloved shooter series. Although we were sworn to secrecy about sharing gameplay footage, that didn’t dampen the excitement as clips started popping up online, offering tantalizing glimpses of influences from Battlefield 3 and 4. Now, with more materials being released, the buzz is growing louder, accompanied by a steady stream of fresh information.

A captivating video was posted on X by Synth Potato. This video showcases an example of environmental devastation through the depiction of a destroyed building. It’s undeniable that it’s visually striking, a viewpoint echoed by numerous viewers in the comments.

If Battlefield 6’s destruction involves every structure similarly as Battlefield 4 did, then it could potentially reach the quality level of BF4.

Simultaneously, another video showcases a novel feature for the series, allowing players to drag an injured team member. By doing so, they can move him to a safer location before administering first aid. It’s evident that while the animations may not be polished at this stage, the concept itself has been well-received by fans.

As a gamer, I was thrown back quite forcefully in a recent battle when I took a sniper shot to the chest. This moment has sparked some debate among players. Some find it an exciting touch, while others argue it’s not very realistic and hope it only triggers when a character actually dies.

As you may know, all the features mentioned earlier are still being worked on and might go through significant alterations prior to the game’s launch. However, Electronic Arts intends to release Battlefield 7 before April 1, 2026, although specific details have not been disclosed at this time.
