A limited number of individuals are given early access to try out Battlefield 6 prior to its launch, allowing them to preview new maps and game mechanics. During this playtest phase, Electronic Arts assesses the performance of their servers under heavy player traffic.

While it’s not always straightforward, here’s a breakdown of how to join the Battlefield 6 playtest:

1. Keep an eye on official channels: Follow the game developer’s social media accounts and subscribe to their newsletters for updates about upcoming playtests.

The trial for Battlefield 6 commences on Friday, May 23rd at 3 am Pacific Time and continues for a duration of 72 hours. This means that players will have a chance to delve into the game from May 23rd to May 26th.

For those not using PT, these translate to 6 am ET, 10 am CEST, and 11 am BST.

How to play Battlefield 6 playtest

To participate in the playtest, sign up as a Playtester on the Battlefield Labs website. You can do so by clicking on the provided link.

After completing that step, you’ll be asked to log in and register. Subsequently, all you can do is wait. If you are selected as a playtester for Battlefield 6, you’ll receive an email granting you access to play. Otherwise, you’ll need to wait for the next chance.

Platforms

It’s great news that Battlefield 6 playtesting is accessible on platforms like PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This means that a majority of gamers can participate in the 3-day experience.

It’s uncertain if Battlefield 6 will be available for the Switch or the potential Switch 2, as Battlefield 5 was not released on the original Switch. However, considering this history, it’s challenging to predict if it will appear on a more advanced Switch 2.

Crossplay
