Developers of Battlefield 6 have revealed initial information about their new battle royale mode, which promises to deliver a tough and intense experience within the genre.
Battlefield 6 will debut on October 10, bringing a new campaign and an expansive multiplayer loaded with innovative maps and game modes. However, players have been eagerly anticipating the Firestorm battle royale mode, scheduled for release at a later time, without charge.
The developers have given us a sneak peek at the upcoming mode for Battlefield Labs, which will soon be playtested. This mode promises 100-player lobbies filled with the usual destruction and vehicles. However, it seems to offer a less forgiving environment compared to games like Warzone and Fortnite.
Battlefield BR circle kills players on contact
On September 11th, DICE revealed intricate details about their upcoming battle royale mode, and among all the updates, one particularly caught my attention. This new mode is claimed to feature the “most lethal shrinking zone in BR,” where the encroaching circle instantly eliminates players upon physical contact.
In many games similar to this one, a circular area can reduce your health if you’re trapped inside it. But unlike other games, Battlefield doesn’t provide any exceptions or leniency – getting caught in the circle has immediate and unfavorable consequences for your health.
As the fire advances dangerously, soldiers may find themselves engaged in increasingly fierce battles as the available battlefield shrinks,” they stated in the post. “Once ensnared within it, there’s no escaping or hiding – it’s a fight to survive.

The post further disclosed various other aspects you might encounter, with confirmation that the original classes from the series will be included in the mode. Consequently, players have the option to select among Assault, Engineer, Support, or Medic roles, and build squads that encompass all four roles or focus solely on one particular role.
Players can advance their class ranks by participating in training sessions, which unlock more powerful equipment and special features for them. For instance, one such feature could be the “Assault” trait that enables quicker armor plate deployment.
