In 2021, Battlefield 2042 hit the market, yet it continues to receive additional content in the form of DLC. The most recent addition to this content is a collaboration with another well-known Electronic Arts series: Mass Effect.
In Battlefield 2042, you can now buy the Galactic and Scoped & Dropped packs. These packs bring fresh cosmetics, making your character resemble a Mass Effect soldier. These additions are part of the 8.9.0 update that was released today, June 17th.
As a devoted player, I’ve got some exciting news about the game bundles! The Galactic pack will set you back 1750 BFC, while the Scoped & Dropped bundle comes in at 2000 BFC. But That’s a deal compared to buying each one separately. You can acquire BFC by investing real money or by advancing through Battlefield 2042’s battle pass. Happy gaming!
Battlefield 2042 is introducing a game mode called “Conquest Ascension”, reminiscent of Mass Effect. The mode’s description states, “Elevate your game and prepare for warfare in the next century. Employ Ascension strategies featuring new crawling mechanics and squad observation, ensuring a future for humanity that any commander could be proud of.

Before this, Battlefield 2042 had a crossover with EA’s Dead Space franchise in 2024.
Even as some gamers continue to enjoy Battlefield 2042, there’s a buzz among many for the upcoming Battlefield 6 or its sequel, yet to be named. Electronic Arts (EA) has announced an official unveiling this summer; however, the specific release date is still uncertain.
Speaking as a hardcore Mass Effect fan here, I’m super hyped that BioWare’s still cooking up the next installment of this epic space saga! And guess what? There’s even a Mass Effect TV show on the horizon too. Can’t wait to explore more of the galaxy and its rich lore in both worlds!
