As I, a gaming enthusiast, share a snap of my ‘Deputy Sheriff’ badge from Hillsborough County, Florida, it’s important to clarify that while I may have stepped into roles as a law enforcer on the silver screen, I can’t quite handcuff you just yet. The wrestler-turned-actor is still working on acquiring the real-life arresting powers!
Bautista is a versatile individual boasting numerous skills. He first stepped into wrestling arena in 1999, then joined WWE in 2000, where he became known as ‘Batista.’ As Batista, he claimed the WWE Championship on two occasions, the Royal Rumble twice, the World Heavyweight Championship four times, and several Tag Team titles.
Apart from that, he’s also grown into a prominent figure in the movie industry, portraying Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy series, and landing roles in movies such as Spectre, Blade Runner 2049, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, and Knock at the Cabin.
More recently, Bautista received a law enforcement award, but the badge isn’t what it seems.

Bautista goes on to say: “I’m filled with big love and gratitude towards my brother, @titusoneilwwe, and Sheriff, @chadchronister, for the honor you’ve bestowed upon me, and for all your contributions to our community. I truly appreciate you both. Tampa has held a special place in my heart since I moved here 20 years ago, and it always will.
Bautista’s affection for Tampa is genuine, demonstrated not only by his residence there for twenty years, but also by opening a tattoo studio downtown, named DC Society Ink, in the year 2022.
In his new venture, Bautista shared with Fox13 that everyone who visits will undoubtedly share a common bond: an ardent passion for tattoos or a desire to narrate their personal stories.
At present, Bautista is proficient in multiple areas: he’s a wrestler, an actor, a proprietor of a tattoo parlor, and has also been appointed as an honorary deputy sheriff. If only he could successfully launch that Gears of War film project…
