Sting announced that a physical version of *Baroque-Ya* will be available in Japan for Nintendo Switch on December 18th. *Baroque-Ya* is a collection of four games from the *Baroque* series, including the original *Baroque* action RPG.
The four games in this compilation will have differing genres. The full list is as follows:
- Baroque -Original Version- – 3D Action RPG
- Baroque Syndrome – Visual Novel
- Baroque Shooting: Reversed – Shooter
- Baroque: Become a Meta-Being – Revive – Jumping Action
Sting confirmed that this collection features the original Baroque, the same version that was released digitally on the Japanese Nintendo eShop in late 2020. This version is built upon the initial 1998 Sega Saturn release.
Originally created for the Sega Saturn, Baroque was later released on the original PlayStation, PS2, and Wii. The versions for these consoles were translated into English and released in North America and Europe. The recent Switch version is based on the very first Saturn release, which may explain why it’s currently only available in Japanese.
