Banks reveals eye-opping 8-figure sum FaZe earned in viral Twitch subathon

As a long-time follower of FaZe Clan and the esports world, I must say I was absolutely floored by their recent subathon success! The sheer determination, creativity, and resilience they showed during those 30 days was nothing short of inspiring. From hiring a Kanye West impersonator to tricking McDonald’s staff, to weathering earthquakes and swatting incidents, it was an exhilarating rollercoaster ride that truly showcased their spirit and camaraderie.

As a member of the FaZe Clan, we just wrapped up our electrifying Subathon marathon on September 30. After non-stop gaming and streaming for an entire month on Twitch, our CEO, Ricky Banks, dropped a jaw-dropping figure – an eight-figure sum – that we collectively earned during this event!

FaZe Clan, a well-known organization in both the esports and entertainment industries, experienced a significant transformation in April 2024 after facing criticism from its internal members due to operational issues, leading to public outcry.

After reclaiming the company, co-founder Ricky Banks made significant changes to the team by dismissing most of the current staff and content creators. In their stead, he brought on fresh talent such as Jason the Ween and FaZe Lacy, who are rising stars, as part of a reduced influencer pool.

In September 2024, much like numerous other content creators, FaZe Clan embarked on a 30-day subscription marathon, continuously streaming to amass as many subscriptions as they could.

During their marathon broadcast, various instances became popular online sensations. For example, they hired an individual posing as Kanye West to dupe McDonald’s employees into providing them with free meals, experienced being awakened by Los Angeles earthquakes, and even faced a SWAT team response due to fabricated reports of a double murder.

The subathon concluded triumphantly, leaving Banks emotional as he expressed gratitude towards his team for helping FaZe reenter their golden era.

A few days past, Banks made an appearance on a Full Send Podcast episode, and during this chat, host Kyle Forgeard enquired about the total earnings the team had accumulated throughout their month-long live streaming venture.

Although Banks refrained from discussing the income of each streamer individually, he disclosed that they collectively made approximately $12 million. This figure, as Forgeard put it, was “unbelievable” or “hard to comprehend.

Not only did he share some exciting news, but he mentioned our marathon streaming session has racked up a whopping 35 million total hours watched! That makes this subathon an unforgettable event and adds another exhilarating chapter to FaZe’s epic gaming journey.

During Subtember, FaZe wasn’t the only one who achieved success; VTuber Ironmouse broke records by becoming the highest-subscribed Twitch streamer of all time during her subathon. This achievement earned her recognition and praise from Twitch as well as Kai Cenat, the streamer she surpassed for the top spot.
