Banjo-Tooie Coming To-ie Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for retro classics and a fondness for the bear-bird duo of Banjo and Kazooie, I can’t help but feel a wave of nostalgia wash over me. The announcement that Banjo-Tooie is joining Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack feels like a dream come true!

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m super excited to share that another game from the Xbox series is coming to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack this month! The classic Nintendo 64 title, Banjo-Tooie, will be available for premium subscribers on October 25th. This joins three other games developed by Rare on the service – GoldenEye 007, Banjo-Kazooie, and Blast Corps. If you’re a fan of these iconic titles like me, this is definitely something to look forward to!

As a thrilled fan, I’m excited to share that Nintendo recently unveiled a trailer on YouTube for Banjo-Tooie making its way onto the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack! This sequel featuring the bear-bird duo is set to touch down on the subscription service, nearly three years after Banjo-Kazooie debuted on Switch Online. These games are timeless platforming titles from the legendary Sea of Thieves studio Rare, which created them while Nintendo held a minority stake in their company back in the day. Interestingly, Microsoft took over the developer in 2002.

Originally launched in 2000, Banjo-Tooie makes its comeback with the antagonist Gruntilda reappearing. Nintendo mentions that the 3D platformer now offers a widescreen mode on the Switch. The sequel can be found as a solo title and part of Rare Replay on Xbox consoles. Regarding the potential future of the series, a past developer expresses doubts about fans’ interest in another Banjo-Kazooie game.

Currently, the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is in its third year and has dropped a sneak peek of upcoming features. Although we don’t know precisely what these new additions will be, Nintendo is planning to conduct a secret online test for the Switch that could potentially offer some clues about the future.

The Expansion Pack membership costs $50 annually for individuals, while the family plan is $80 per year.
