As a connoisseur of cinema with a soft spot for musical dramas and a deep appreciation for Indian culture, I eagerly anticipate the return of “Bandish Bandits” on Prime Video. Having been captivated by its fusion of traditional Indian classical music and contemporary pop in the first season, I am thrilled to witness how the creators will push the boundaries further in this sophomore installment.

The second season of Amazon Prime Video’s musical drama series “Bandish Bandits” will be released on a specific date.

The new series carries on delving into the blend of traditional Indian classical music and modern pop tunes, focusing on characters Radhe and Tamanna as they vie for acclaim. Once again at the helm are series architects Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari; this time Tiwari takes the director’s chair while collaborating with Atmika Didwania and Karan Singh Tyagi on scriptwriting, with Bindra overseeing production for Leo Media Collective.

In the recast, Ritwik Bhowmik, Shreya Chaudhry, Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni, Rajesh Tailang, and Kunaal Roy Kapur will once again take on their original characters. Joining them in this production are Divya Dutta, Rohan Gurbaxani, Yashaswini Dayama, Aaliyah Qureshi, and Saurabh Nayyar.

At Amazon Prime Video, we’re proud to present stories that not only resonate culturally but also highlight the vibrant array of traditions in India. ‘Bandish Bandits’ has been a shining example among our diverse original content. As we release the second season of ‘Bandish Bandits,’ we’ve expanded the musical and narrative elements, delving into topics like legacy, identity, and ambition. We’re thrilled to share this captivating tale with our customers and believe it will garner the same affection and praise as its first installment did.

We’re incredibly pleased with ‘Bandish Bandits’, our series. In Season 1, our goal was to authentically and captivatingly present Indian classical music, something not often seen in mainstream Indian entertainment, while delving into the universal theme of tradition versus modernity. Bindra added this thought. As for Season 2, we’re building on what we started, introducing more complex conflicts as the challenges escalate, and pushing the tension between Radhe and Tamanna to a climactic peak.

“Bandish Bandits” Season 2 premieres Dec. 13 on Prime Video worldwide.
