Bandai is set to release two new action figures inspired by the first official The Lord of the Rings anime, “The War of the Rohirrim,” towards the end of this year. Starting from September 30th, you can purchase the Hera and Wulf figures for $80 each. Similar to other figurines from Bandai’s Tamashii Nations series, these collectibles boast authentic designs, extensive articulation, and a variety of additional items. Pre-orders for both figures are currently open on Amazon.
Created by animation studio Sola Digital Arts, “War of the Rohirrim” takes place 183 years prior to The Lord of the Rings saga, depicting the struggles of the kingdom of Rohan against invading Dunlending raiders from Dunedain. Drawing upon J.R.R. Tolkien’s appendices and lore, the film introduces the tales of King Helm Hammerhand, Princess Hera, and Wulf to audiences for the first time. Initially premiered in cinemas at the end of 2024, it is now available on Blu-ray. Unfortunately, the limited 4K Steelbook Edition has sold out; however, you can purchase the standard War of the Rohirrim 4K Blu-ray for $20 (originally priced at $28) from Amazon. Additionally, you can buy the standard Blu-ray version for $13 (previously $23). Both editions include three bonus featurettes providing behind-the-scenes insights into the production of the movie.
