‘Bambi: The Reckoning’ Trailer: Cinema’s Beloved Deer Turns Feral, Goes on Killing Spree in Latest IP Assault from ‘Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey’ Creators (EXCLUSIVE)

Disney’s beloved little deer is all grown up — and has gone absolutely feral.

From the initial glimpse at “Bambi: The Reckoning,” it’s clear that this is another sensory attack, following the trend set by the surprise successor to the beloved children’s tale, “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey.

In a grisly reimagining of the classic Bambi tale, our deer has undergone a drastic transformation: no longer just mourning his mother’s death, he is now mutated, towering in size, and armed with a set of menacing teeth. Instead of seeking solace, he embarks on a violent rampage through the forest, driven by revenge. He hurls cars aloft using his massive antlers, charges into idyllic country homes, and pursues families vacationing in caravans. The outcome is gruesome: beheadings, maulings, and a lot of bloodshed. This reinterpretation should be kept as far from children’s eyes as possible.

Under the direction of Dan Allen, “Bambi: The Reckoning” features Roxanne Mckee, known for her roles in “Game of Thrones” and “Hercules”, Tom Mulheron, Nicola Wright (“Sexy Beast”), Samira Mighty, and Alex Cooke. This production is being handled by Scott Chambers and Rhys-Frake Waterfield, the dynamic duo from Jagged Edge Productions, who have made a name for themselves with their public domain horror films such as “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey”, the upcoming “Blood and Honey 2” in 2024, and this year’s “Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare”. They are widely recognized for their work in the genre of horror exploitation films.

Absolutely! Following his own movie, Bambi is set to appear in the low-budget horror crossover film “Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble” alongside characters like Winnie, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Tigger, Piglet, The Mad Hatter, Sleeping Beauty, and others. This summer, they’ll all join forces in a production that promises to be a chaotic collision of intellectual properties.

This summer, “Bambi: The Reckoning” will be unveiled, as both ITN Studio and Premiere Entertainment are involved in its release.
