The next five installments in the Backyard series – Backyard Soccer ’98, Backyard Football ’99, Backyard Basketball ’01, Backyard Baseball ’01, and Backyard Hockey ’02 – are coming soon to gamers. You can add these games to your wishlist on Steam, but as of now, there’s no information about their release dates.
Playground Productions has confirmed that the classic game Backyard Baseball ’97 can now be played on the Steam Deck, Steam’s official handheld gaming device. This weekend, Mega Cat Studios and Crowd Control are teaming up with Playground Productions for a charity event featuring Backyard Baseball ’97. The event, known as the BackyardSports.Online Charity Stream, aims to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The livestream will feature game developers, content creators, and special guest professional athletes. The stream will air on October 13 at 12 PM Pacific Time / 3 PM Eastern Time on the BackyardSportsCenter Twitch channel.
