‘Back in Action’ Trailer: Cameron Diaz Ends Her 11-Year Acting Retirement by Teaming Up With Jamie Foxx for Netflix’s Spy Movie

As a long-time fan of Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx, I am absolutely thrilled to see them back in action! Their return to the big screen in “Back in Action” is not just a comeback, but a testament to their resilience and versatility as actors.

Cameron Diaz is back in action!

Eleven years after a break from acting, Diaz is back on the silver screen in the Netflix spy action comedy “Back in Action”, alongside her former co-star from “Annie”, Jamie Foxx. The movie “Back in Action” will debut on Netflix on January 17th.

In this rephrased version:

The star-studded cast includes Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts and Rylan Jackson. The movie is directed by Seth Gordon, who previously directed “Horrible Bosses” and “Baywatch.” Gordon co-wrote the script alongside Brendan O’Brien, one of the co-writers of “Neighbors.”

Returning to the Spotlight” is what we’re calling Diaz’s comeback following her retirement announcement in 2014, when she chose to focus on raising her two children with husband Benji Madden. In the interim, the star has introduced her successful wine brand Avaline, made appearances on “The Drew Barrymore Show” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” and will reprise her voice role for the upcoming animated sequel “Shrek 5.” Similarly, “Returning to the Public Eye” is how we’re referring to Foxx’s recent appearance, after his hospitalization due to an unspecified medical emergency last year. Foxx has been quiet about his health issues, but he plans to address them in a Netflix stand-up special named “What Had Happened Was.
