Avowed misses its initial 2024 release date and pushed back to February 18, 2025

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent exploring the vast worlds of RPGs, I can’t help but feel a tinge of both anticipation and frustration upon hearing about the delay of Avowed. Having been eagerly awaiting its release since the initial announcement, I find myself in a peculiar predicament – a game I am yearning to play is now further away than before.

As a dedicated fan, I’m sharing the news that my anticipation for Avowed, the forthcoming RPG by Obsidian Entertainment, has been slightly extended. Xbox Game Studios has decided to shift the game’s release date to February 18, 2025, which means we’ll have a bit more wait than initially expected, with the original plan being a 2024 launch, and even a potential November release based on an internal leak from their website. But remember, good things come to those who wait!

During the Summer Games Fest event in June, Obsidian Entertainment unveiled a wealth of information about Avowed, including gameplay footage, as well as extended demonstrations. Additionally, they had an in-depth conversation with Adam, focusing on the role-playing game (RPG) aspect that the upcoming title promises.

Once again, Avowed is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC now on February 18, 2025.

With numerous games on the horizon, we’re shifting the release date of Avowed to February 18, 2025. This extra time will allow players some space in their gaming schedules. Keep an eye out for updates from our Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda, and Xbox Game Studios at gamescom, including a sneak peek at Avowed during our August 23 livestream.
